April 04 GOOD MORNINGGood Morning Everyone!!
I know it's been forever since I've been on here. There really isn't a whole lot new. Just waiting for warmer weather so we can get outside and start our spring projects, and to pick up where we left off last year. Work is keeping me really busy, but I am still enjoying it and very thankful that I have a job with the economy the way it is. I've been attending workshops, out to school districts and attending conferences........not including my work that needs to be done at the office.
Our snow has melted and we actually see green grass. Since the weather was nice last weekend, we were able to get out and rake all the dead grass. It's amazing with the rain and sun how fast the green popped through. My flowers are in bloom and things look good, so even today with the winds, rain and clouds, it is still a decent temp of about 43. At least it's not in the teens or twenties........
Can't wait to get started on the garden. Hubby and I have been discussing making it bigger than last year and we've decided what we are planting. I am hoping to do better on the potatoes this year. Might try some peas and green beans also. Not much into herbs, but fresh vegies, yes.......... The prices in the grocery stores are outrageous!!
Tomorrow is looking good weather wise, so it appears that we will be going to my Mom's and taking down a Gazebo that she no longer wants. She figures with our 10 acres, we can surely find a place for it. lol..... She doesn't use it and she wants to plant a flower garden in its place, so once the gazebo is down, I will help her do that. She loves her flowers.........especially roses.
I started changing my computer room around a couple of weeks ago and have re-arranged it a couple of times since. I think today will be the final move. I have figured out where I REALLY want things, so that will be a project on the list for today. I seem to want everything in my room!!!
We bought a weider pro exercise unit a few weeks ago, and I'm really dedicating myself to it. I want to get toned up and also lose some weight, so I'm starting slowly and sticking to it. Let's hope I don't get bored with it. LOL
I hope you are all doing well and are enjoying your weekend!!! February 27 I'm hereIt certainly started to feel like spring today. 50 degrees and at 6:30 it's still about 45!!! We do have some rain coming down , but that is all and well, if it gets rid of the snow. I guess we shouldn't get to use to these temps, as tomorrow's forecast is calling for them to drop back down to about 30, and then a storm possibly Saturday night and Sunday night. So there you have it, our weather is so unpredictable...............
All seems to be going well. Hubby goes into the hospital Monday morning for his procedures. We are keeping our fingers crossed, that everything will be fine, and that he will feel much better.
I've been busy out in the school districts working and learning all I can. I really enjoy this job. The people are just great, and so very helpful. It's nice to get out of the office once in a while also. It breaks up the day a bit and it's never the same thing every day.
Can you belive that Sunday we are going into March already??? Of course the stores dont' let you forget what Holiday is coming next. Walmart had Valentine's and St Patrick's day items on their shelves right after Christmas. They used to do just one holiday, but now it appears they are doubling them up. It certainly doesn't give us much time to enjoy them like we used to. I asked the girl why they put them out so early and together. Her response was that they place their order and when it comes in, they just go ahead and stock the shelves because they really don't have any room to store it all. I find that one hard to believe. The answer to that was-don't order it so early...............
I'm so glad it's the weekend. I was sitting at my desk this afternoon and about 2 pm, I started getting really tired. I wasn't sure i was going to make it until 3:30. lol. It's nice to be home and just relaxing.
I hope you are all surviving through the tough economy. Seems like this President is serious about things and is and will do his best to turn the economy around. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Well, hoping you all have a wonderful weekend., until then, take care February 13 Hi Everyone Wanted to stop by and wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!! We are headed to Albany tomorrow to run a couple of errands and then to Red Lobster. Can't wait....King Crab legs it is!!! Things have been pretty busy here with us. Mark has been going to his different Dr's. He saw the heart Dr this week and his heart seems to be fine, but the Dr does want him to have another stress test. He also told him that his blood pressure is still high, so now he has to go back to our family Dr. I actually thought spring was around the corner with the temps being in the 50's for a couple of days. I guess I was mistaken because I heard the weather report tonight and we have a significant storm coming in on Wednesday and into Thursday, just when it was all starting to melt. I actually see alot of grass!! Well, it never fails, just at the end of February or early part of March, we get a nor-eastern. All in all spring REALLY is just around the corner.
Work is going very well. I feel so blessed that I got this job. I'm learning alot more now so I'm beginning to get busy and starting to do alot more. I've gone in early a couple of mornings and even brought work home to do a newsletter. I'm enjoying every bit of it.
There honestly isn't a whole lot new going on around here. Just working and keeping my eye on hubby to make sure he feels ok. I'm off to watch Ghost Whisperer...... Everyone enjoy or weekend!!
February 08 Good Morning I was amazed when I got up this morning at all the snow that had melted since yesterday afternoon. We went out to run errands yesterday and it was cold, but at least not as cold as it has been. It was about 30, but the breeze made it feel alot colder. Last night about 8 when Mark took the kids (dogs) out for their nightly business, he came in and told me how much it had warmed up (about 45).The weatherman had predicted light rain over night and into about noon today. with the warmth and the rain, alot of the white stuff is disappearing. yeah........ As long as we don't get our yearly nor-eastern we'll be good to go. I can actually see grass out my window!!! Happy early Valentine's Day to you all. Hope you all have a great day!! I have been wanting to go to Red Lobster so that is where we'll be having dinner. It's about an hour away, so we don't get there very often, so we (especially me) are looking forward to it.
Work is going well, and I'm still enjoying it. Learning alot more everyday and am starting to get more involved in doing things. I'll be glad when I start feeling like I really know how to do things without having to ask for help. I'm very independant when it comes to that. I am the type of person who just wants to get in their and do it and not have to "train" LOL
Mark and I have talked about our spring projects and besides the garden, we want to go to the nursery and pick out a few trees-flowering and other wise. We definitely have the room for them-10 acres!! I mostly want a couple of lilac trees. I had a beautiful one at our old house and I miss the fragrance when it used to bloom. Such a pretty and relaxing smell.We also want to finish enclosing our front porch. We are so glad that we at least got the front side done last year. It surely kept all the snow off the porch and really helps with the wind also. Being that our home is out in the open in the country, we get alot of wind.I found out that my cousin will be visiting in April from Oregon, so it will be fun to see her and her husband again. They moved from Hawaii to Oregon last year and make yearly trips back the Upstate where she is originally from, but with the move last year, they did not make it out. I'm sure we'll do the barbeque thing-as long as the weather is a little warmer.
Still praying and wishing my friend Deb's Dad is doing well. Best wishes for him and the girls.
Can you believe how bad this economy is getting?? It's so scary to go out into town and see all the stores and companys that are closing down. My heart goes out to all these poor people that have lost their jobs. I wish them all the best!! Mark and I along with the rest of my family are so thankful to have wonderful jobs in this tough time.

January 25 Hi EveryoneOur weather has sure been up and down lately. Last Thursday and Friday it was in the high 30's and actually hit 42 Friday afternoon!! Then Saturday it all went down hill. I think the high today was 15 or something like that.. I'm beginning to think the snow isn't actually that bad compared to the frigid temps.
Hubby seems to be doing better. Still has alot of Dr's appts coming up, but he has switched Dr's and we now feel more confident about his health and are very satisfied with the new Dr.
So the big game is next weekend. We like both teams and regardless of who wins, I'm sure both teams will give it their best. It will be a snack day for us and pretty much just a lazy day in general. I love days like that, since we don't get to many of them, I take advantage of them when I do get them.
 Please take a moment and stop by my friend Deb's space and wish her Dad the best. He's currently in the hospital. She explains it all on her blog. We'll all keep him in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
We had a family get together at my Brother's today. A very nice dinner, he is such an excellent cook. My Sister-in-law has it made!! He cooked london broil, augratin potatoes, broccoli, home made dinner rolls, along with all the side dishes and then for dessert an awesome apple cinnabon pie and coffee!!! What an awesome meal........ Alot of fun and nice to have everyone together.
